My ancestors are from Ireland. From the myth, The Dagda's Harp, there is said to be two types of people in Ireland. The dark hair and dark eyed, called Fomorians who carried spears made of golden bronze when they fought. And the light hair and blue eyed, who carried heavy spears made of metal. The light hair and light eyed people had a high preist named Dagda. Dagda had a harp that was beautiful and every time the men went to war he would stoke his harp. The music would prepare every man and make them say "Forth the Fight!". Then when the men would return Dagda would stroke his harp again and each man would shout "Long live the King". This myth reflects the culture of Ireland because it shows the importance and value of the harp. The harp began symbolizing Ireland in July 1642.
